World Oceans Day is Coming!
World Oceans day is June 8th and the Symposium will be hosting a series of hangouts bringing together people from all over the world to speak on this auspicious day. Come check out all the programming and guests on our special World Oceans Day landing page.
The Online Ocean Symposium is increasing and expanding attention to the Oceans by starting the conversation. Through the use of Google+ Hangouts on Air, the OOS creates an online video forum for conversations in ocean advocacy, photography, etc and forges connections in the ocean community. Together we can turn the conversation into tangible action!
Check out the OOS’s latest Google+ Hangout on Air: “Plastic Bag Bans and What You Can Do.” Join in on the action and learn how to get involved in the fight to get rid of single use plastics. A fantastic conversation with participants including California State Assemblymember Marc Levine, Sue Vang of Californians Against Waste, Leslie Tamminen of Clean Seas Coalition, Emily Utter of Bag It and Karima Cherif of the Plastic Pollution Coalition.
Watch out social media channels (like our Facebook or Google+ Page) for updates.
All of the OOS Google+ Hangouts on Air are hosted and curated on the OOS Google+ Page and linked to the OOS YouTube Channel.
